Either IS&T or an outside vendor would maintain the system's web and database servers. This would include keeping the servers up to date with the latest security patches, performing any installations of new software, and doing back-ups.
Either IS&T or an outside vendor would be contracted to do any updates to application code or to make changes to the database. This would include any necessary bug fixes, enhancements, and subsequent releases of the system. Currently IS&T-CSS has no resources available to do PHP development. Until this changes, if the application is built using PHP any changes will have to be made by an outside vendor.
It is expected that someone in Public Affairs will be the primary Customer Support contact for calendar owners and event submitters. This person will need to have the ability to work in whichever database is selected. Any issues that appear to be bugs will be logged in a system such as Bugzilla. If deemed sufficiently severe, it will escalated to the developer of the application.
