On August 5, over 60 educators and technologist converged on the Berkeley campus to participate in the inagural Cal Educamp, a Technology & Education Unconference co-hosted by Educational Technology Services to engage faculty and the broader bay area teaching community in the uses of social media in education.
In this article, we announce the CalCentral launch, describe how CalCentral relates to bSpace, and provide an overview of our future pilot plans.

Login, Forums and bSpace Permissions are a few of the areas with modifications that our users will find helpful.
Recently ETS was given the challenge to create a “test kitchen,” a space where faculty and instructors can be more innovative in their teaching practice and where students can engage actively in the teaching and learning process. Thanks to the Campus Committee on Classroom Policy and Management, ETS is creating such a space in Dwinelle 127, an ETS departmental classroom seating up to 32 students.
